Serato has dropped the promised 1.5 update to Serato DJ this morning, complete with the very first support for timecode via the two currently supported mixers, the Rane Sixty-Four and Pioneer DJM-900SRT. Considering that they're both quite expensive, it might be a while before you see a DJ in the wild using Serato DJ with timecode - but it's worth noting that Serato has also wrapped in native HID support for the CDJ-2000s (and Nexus), making it significantly easier to imagine a plug-and-play solution in a club scenario. Also in 1.5 is support of the new Numark NS7II contorller, the Pioneer DDJ-SR controller, the DDJ-SP1, and the Novation Dicer.  - as well as simple sync with beatgrids for vinyl and CDJ DJs.
